Silent Studio Directory - 43 - Box Office Attractions Film Rental Co. - US - 1913-1914 - created in 1913 from the Greater New York Film Rental Co., a distributor of states rights material in New York and the New England area when William Fox decided to go into film production; offices were located at 130 West 46th St. New York with Fox as president and Winfield R. Sheehan as general manager; originally distributed films by Balboa Amusement Producing Co. but by 1914 began their first feature production (Life’s Shop Window); name of the company was shortened in May 1914. Boy City Film Corp. - US - 1918 - production company formed by Judge Willis Brown who created a boy’s town to show a series of ½ hour films; about a dozen films were made at Culver City by King Vidor and distributed through General Film Co. Brabo Films - FRANCE - 1921 - production company. Bradley Feature Film Co. - US - 1920-1921 - production company located at 2147 Prospect Ave. Cleveland, Ohio; studios located at 3001 Euclid Ave. with S. R. Bradley as president and B. W. Rueben as V. P. and general manager; distribution through Federated Exchanges and by states rights. Bray Pictures Corp. - US - 1919- 1926 - Bray changed name to Bray Pictures Corp. when the International Film Services closed and Hearst moved IFS series to Bray; Bray moved distribution to Goldwyn who bought controlling interest but Bray bought back control in 1921; Bray divided off the military and training films and reopened Bray Studios while continuing the movie animation through Bray Pictures Corp.; Bray closed Bray Pictures Corp. in 1926 and focused on training films at Bray Studios.
