Moss after leaving Reliance Feature Film Co., to provide films to Moss theater chain, and distributed by states rights to other theaters; ceased production in 1918. B. Y. S. Films, Inc. - US - 1920 - distribution company located at 130 West 46th Street, New York with Herbert H. Yudkin as general manager. Bacon Backer Film Corp. - US - 1918-1919 - production company located at 230 West 38th St. New York; owned by George Backer and Gerald F. Bacon. Balboa Amusement Producing Co. - US - 1913-1918 - production company located at Sixth and Alamitos in Long Beach, California with H. M. Horkheimer as president and general manager and Elwood Horkheimer as secretary and treasurer; formed from purchase of California Motion Picture Manufacturing Co in April 1913 by the Horkheimer brothers; initial financing and distribution through Pathe; also distributed through Alliance, B. S. Moss, Eclectic, Mutual, Paramount, Triangle, Universal and Warner Features; released films under several trade names such as Falcon Features and Fortune Photoplay which were distributed through General Film; in 1917, contracted with General Film Co. to produce a series called Knickerbocker Star Features; rented out production space to such companies as Arbuckle’s Comique Film, Equitable Motion Picture, Golden Rooster, Joy, Kalem, Nemo, Oakdale, Panama, Plaza, Selig, VIM, and White Star; turned over to creditors in March 1918 and liquidated in 1919.
